Seabrook - Westminster and Lambeth, and Lyme Regis, UK
William Seabrook, bc 1800, married Mary Hall in London in 1826.Children included Ann (1826/7), William (1831), Richard (1834), Robert Tower (1835), John Henry (1839), Elizabeth Harriet (Dec 1840), Rebecca (1841) and Mary Ann (1843), all born Westminster.By the late 1850s/early 1860s the family had moved to Southwark/Lambeth area.Amazingly, William was still alive in 1881, and the census gives his birth place as Lyme Regis, Dorset. This seems very odd, as I've not come across any Seabrooks in the Dorset area. Had William been a seaman, the link with Lyme Regis would seem more reasonable, but William was a house painter!
Does anyone have this London family in their tree, or has anyone come across any Seabrooks in Dorset in 1800?
My thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
