Noel, You guys have been so quiet for so long, I wasn't sure you hadn't given up. I do know a bit more than I did when I contacted you last. I know that John Seamans(Simmons) married Elizabeth Woodall in Yalobusha Co. MS>John died in 1857 and in 1859 Elizabeth married James S. Bolding, S/O Marvel Bolding. When they married she had 5 children by John. Granville was their 1st but he died early.Canzada was b. 1851 died 1-12-1895.(at 45)William R. (Pap as he was called did not remarry.) To continue with John and Elizabeth, their 3rd child was Margret Ann, She was b. 1852, number 4 was Jonathan Silas (my great-grandfather. He was b. 7-12-1854 and died 5-28-1909.He married Mary Elizabeth Smith in Oak Grove June 20th 1872. She died Nov. 11, 1927 in Oak Grove.Number 5 was William, and number 6 was John b. 1856.
James Bolding had been married before to Sarah Turner.I have never been able to find him after then. All of these children were b. in Yalobusha Co. Coffeeville MS> All except Margret Ann and went to West Carroll Parish.I believe John to be the son of the J.Simmons in the 1850 Yal.Co MS. census. I believe that because several of his children were in Oak Grove.Lafayette must have gone first.Jonathan and James Dudley both were there. Joshua went to Arkansas and is an ancestor of yours and Jackson's If they were not brothers they certainly were kin.
James and Elizabeth had 5 more children.Martha b. 1860, Jane b. 1862 She married J.N.Danley, Charles b. 1863. He is living with Jonathan and Mary in the 1900 WC census. I have never been able to find him. Emma b.1864, Mary Jane b. 1870.One of these last two married a Shavers, I think Mary Jane.Does this help you any?Get back to me if you have questions. Sincerely, Jo Ann
