I am interested in your Seawell research. You show a William Seawell married to an "unknown" Blevins.I think that is Matilda Ann Blevins, as I have a notice of marriage of these two copied from records in Selma, Dallas County, Alabama. It lists the marriage date as December 20, 1841.I also have a record of soldiers serving in the 8th Alabama Infantry Regiment - two Seawells - William A. Seawell, Sgt. and C. H. Seawell, 1st Lt.
I know from family records that Matilda and William had one son, William Blevins Seawell.
I have other bits of information, if you are interested.
On a trip to Selma to research my Blevins line, I found some indication (can't find it now) that William and Matilda moved to Greenville, Alabama. This is in Shelby Cty., AL.I looked in some old cemeteries in hopes of finding their graves, but to no avail.
