There are several Benjamin Seckinger's listed in Vol. 3 of Gnann's Georgia Salzburgers and Allied Families.
On page 2595, there is one that might fit your age limits.
Benjamin A. Seckinger was born 13 August 1825 and was the 8th child (and son) in a family 11 children. No death date given. His parents were John Christopher Seckinger born 2 Jun 1786 m. Agneta Rahn 23 Nov 1807, b. abt 1785, d 30 JAN 1854; dau of Mathew Rahn and first wife.John Christopher's line runs Jonathan, Mathias, Christoph, Hans, Hans.
On page 2614, there is another one.
Benjamin Seckinger was born 1814 and was the second child (and son) of a family of three children. No death date given. His parents were Benjamin Seckinger born 1786, d after 1850, m Salome Zittrauer 10 May 1810, b. 1785; dau of Christian Ernest and Johanna (Reiter) Zittrauer.
I did check my book of marriages in Lowndes County from 1870-1920 and he is not in it.I also looked in the Lowndes Cemetery listing and the only Benjamin is buried at Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery but he was born in 1787 and died 3 Oct 1866 which means he certainly was NOT in the 1870 and 1880 census!
Maybe this will help you.I have a 4greatgrandmother who was Christiana Elizabeth Seckinger born in Effingham Co, GA and died in 1831 in Effingham. She married John Leimberger and their son Benjamin Franklin Limeberger moved to Lowndes County.Faye
