It's been a while since I worked on this line, but here's what I've learned about Joseph U.'s wife:
She was Mary Jane BRIDGES, the daughter of Harvey Y. and Sarah Bridges.

Harvey's wife Sarah died sometime prior to 1896, probably in Prairie Co, based on a marriage record that states HY Bridge 65 of Prairie Co, AR m.S.M. Darsey 43 of Pike Co, AR on 11/5/1896, (Pike Co marriage book A.)
I also found a HY Bridges,Co. G,16th South Carolina Infantry, Greenville regiment, but haven't checked into this to determine that it is definitely the same H.Y., although I feel pretty certain it is based on a message board posting I ran across where someone was looking for info on Benjamin & Elizabeth Bridges. In this inquiry, several children of Benj and Eliz were listed...among them a Harry Z who married Sarah C. Unknown. In looking at actual census entries, it's easy to see how Harvey becomes Harry and Y becomes Z.
Harvey died in 1913 and is buried at Poe Cem, Grant Co, AR.
