I'm doing some lateral thinking here.My g-g-g grandfather, Thomas D. Gibbs, was married to Anna Rosina Saner (AKA Sehnert and Sener...Saner was on the marriage certificate)This was his first wife.Samuel was her uncle.
I do have some stuff on the Saner family, and have hit my brick wall with her husband and child.Thomas D. Gibbs remarried, but we can't find where he's buried, and only assume he was buried with his first wife Anna Rosina Saner, because he's not buried with his second one. However, we can't find Anna's burial site.
There are so many different spellings of this family, because it seems that in the 1820's they all started using different spellings, even between siblings. My g-g-g-grandfather seemed to be very close with the Saner family, he did quite a bit of business with them.
Samuels other nephews (Anna's brothers), also helped Thomas' second wife when Thomas died.I have a lot of paperwork on the family, if your interested.By the way, Thomas and Anna's son was named Martin S. Gibbs.
They lived in Rowan Co, NC.Contact me if you have any questions or want what information I have.Maybe you'll have something we're looking for too!
