Seidinger/Seiddinger
This is the first time I have found anything close to my maiden name Seidinger on GenForum.I came from Regensburg Bavaria in 1958 to the States with my mother. My grandfather was Maximillian Seidinger and that part of the family is from Austria. There are several Seidinger's in Austria still today. My grandmother was a Schoeber and is from Bavaria. My ggGrandfather purchased the "Seiden Plantage" (Satin Plantation) in Regensburg in the 1800's and gave a plot of land to each of his children, most of which were girls. My grandmother and her sister both married 2 Seidinger brothers, so at one time there were 2 Seidinger families on the "Winzerer Hoehe". Today I believe there are only 2 original homesteads left there with Schoeber decendents. One is a Seidinger (my cousin and I own it) and the other I only know her first name. The remainder have either sold and moved or passed on without family.
If anyone out there is possibly related, please contact me as I have some, although not much information but would be very interested in obtaining more information. Patricia
