I have just read your message of 2nd November 2005 about my late brother Albert who was killed in action March 8th 1945. I am Freddy his younger brother who visited his grave in 1946 and in fact I stayed with your family before visiting my brothers grave. He was killed by a sniper in the German town of Cleve and is buried in the Materhorne military cemetary in the Reichwald forest. (some 10 Km from Cleve) I seem to recall your family at that time had I think 3 or 4 daughters and the name "Henney" and the name "Ebbink" seem to vaguely come into my mind, Do these names mean anything to you? Albert had 4 brothers, I was the youngest and he had 3 older brothers. Bob, Bernard and Bill, Beside myself, only 1 brother is remaining,he is now 90 years old and a survivor of Dunkirk. Hope this helps you with your enquiries, Freddy.
