I am a genealogist and don't know how but I happened upon your message and said "oh my gosh, I have a Selzer".
I have a Frank Selzer painting that was my grandmothers (she'd be 129 years old today). She lived in Muskegon Michigan. The picture is of grazing sheep near a rail fence. It was painted in 1891. I have always admired it and am envied by some siblings to have it. It is in perfect condition. I did have it professionally streached when it turned 100. The canvas is 24 by 15 inches and is set in its original beauitful gold gild frame. Do you have any idea of its value?
Thank You,Sam Buitendorp P.S. The painting is not for sale...my 8 yr old granson wants it some day.
