Special Reunion Next Year: August 9 & 10 (2003) in Wisconsin Rapids, WI at Mead Inn: Jim Dullenty, author & Wild West Historian will talk about his book, "Harry Severns: The Last Desperado." Harry (Severns) Tracy's name was in all newspapers throught the land during the "Great Chase" across the Pacific Northwest during the summer of 1902; he took his own life after being wounded by a local posse in a wheat field near Creston, Washington. There are numerous books & two movies about Harry (Severns) Tracy. Tracy was the grandson of James Quick Severns, eldest son of Nye & Mary Quick Severns.
Nye (b 4/25/1802 - d 12/2/1877) and Mary Quick (b 2/26/1803 - d 3/5/1875) Severns had 11 children: Julie Ann Severns Schutes (b 4/10/1824 - d 4/12/1856), James Quick Severns (b 10/12/1825 - d 7/18/1902), John (b 4/10/1824 - d 3/27/1857), Harriet (b 2/23/1830 - d 1903), Columbus (b 4/4/1832 - d 7/18/190), Erwin (b 4/24/1832 - d 7/16/1875), Elbert (b 12/21/1837 - 1/28/1863), Blair (b 5/9/1839 - d 5/22/1823), Bruce (died childhood), Louisa Jane Severns Essex (b 11/24/1854 - d 3/21/1884), George (b 11-25/1848 - d 1/17/1920).
