I think that you are right. We do have a common ancestor on the Sevigny side, and maybe on the Couvrette side also.I guess I should say on my husbands side. One of the things that I don't have is all the children of Norbert and Clara Joannis. My husbands g grandfather is Jean Baptiste Sevigny son of Norbert and Clara.I have as his children John, Horace, Napoleon Joseph, my husbands father, Alice, Louise. I do know that Napoleon was born in Ottawa, I seems like most of the children died in Maine. Not sure if the whole family came to Waterville, Maine. So far I haven't found this out.I also know that Norbert's father is Pierre Sevigny and mother Marie Landry, but also on them I don't know the children. This seem to be where I am stuck.I know that if I get back a little farther I will hook up with the other line coming down, as they know who the first Sevigny was that came to Canada.
On the Couvrette line, I have all the grandparents on that line by marriage dates, dating back to France. Now I am looking for the birth and death record's and the children. My Couvrette, is Marie Louise Couvrette she is married to Jean Baptiste Sevigny, but as of now I do not know her brothers and sisters. It seems like it is never ending, but I love finding everyone.Just wish I had more time to work on it.Hope we will be able to help each other finding some of these people.Where do you live.I live in Los Angeles, California. Thanks for answering my message.
