I was able to spend a little time in Rockland. I found evidence of three Sewall families in Knox County. They may be related but I can't tell from the evidence I looked at. It is interesting that members of two families appear in Brockton.
I have some followups so will return someday. I forgot to look for Briggs probates.
Here's an outline of what I see:
FAMILY ONE (arbitrarily numbered):
1. George W. Sewall, d. Rockland 12 Feb. 1890 (VR); m. Lucy E. ----, b. ca. 1840 (C1860, C1870)
___On 5 Oct. 1881 George W. and Lucy E. Sewall of South Thomaston mortgaged land in Rockland. Elonia M. Sewall was a witness. (KCLR, 57:276)
___ On 15 July 1922, Mary E. Weed and husband Wallace J. of Rockland, Ammi Sewall and wife Genie R. [signed Eugenia] of Rockland, Charles W. Sewall and wife Frances S. of Deer Isle, George W. [signed George G.] Sewall of Portland, Lonia M. [signed Lona M.] Wyman and husband Fred of Portland, Bert [signed A.L.] Sewall and wife Annie of Brockton, and Edward Sewall and wife Josephine of Brockton, children and heirs of George W. Sewall late of Rockland, sold land in Rockland to Allie W. Sewall of Rockland, another son and heir. (KCLR, 197:404-6)

At least one son: Willard Maynard Sewall, m. 2 July 1926 (WMMI) Ruth W. Plummer of Rockland.
---In 1928 land was transferred between Willard Maynard Sewall and wife Ruth
W. of Rockland and Ammi Sewall and wife Eugenia Rose of the same (KCLR, 218:370 & 219:264).

___9. Lona M. Sewall, b. ca. 1869 (C1880); m. 1st as Elona Sewall at Rockland 24 April 1889 (VR) Willard Wade, of Rockland, b. Jan. 1865 (C1900); m.2nd as Lona M. Wade 21 June 1905 (WMMI) Frederick B. Wyman of Portland. I don't know how to reconcile this with your 1910 census findings, unless there was a divorce.

13. Zolmany Sewall, b. in Me. ca. 1824 (C1850 as "Talminy"); d. at South Thomaston 7 May 1880; m. by 1865 Elizabeth D. ----, b. ca. 1826 (C1850, C1880).
___On 28 Nov. 1865 Elizabeth D. Sewall in her own right and her husband Zolmany Sewall sold land in South Thomaston (KCLR, 14:363)
___In a petition in May 1880, Elizabeth D. Sewall, widow, and Oscar B. Sewall represented that Zolmony Sewall late of South Thomston died on 7 May 1880 intestate; admon. of his estate was granted 3rd Tues. in May 1880 to Elizabeth D. Sewall of South Thomaston. The estate was insolvent. (KCPR, file #1960)
___On 1 June 1881 Elizabeth D. Sewall of South Thomaston mortgaged land there. (KCLR 57:187)
___On 31 May 1884 Elizabeth D. Sewall of Brockton sold land in South Thomaston. Hiram B. Sewall was a witness. (KCLR, 64:155)
__On 9 Oct. 1888 Elizabeth D. Sewall, Oscar B. Sewall, LaForrest F. Sewall, Hiram B. Sewall, Eleanora L. Henry, all of Brockton, and Annie M. Sewall of South Thomaston sold land in South Thomaston. (KCLR, 79:281)
___In July 1896 LaForest S. Sewall and wife Anna of New Bedford, Hiram B. Sewall and wife Viva of New Bedford, Auston M. Sewall of Brockton, and Ellora A. Samson of Kingston sold land in South Thomaston to Oscar B. Sewall of Avon, being land conveyed to Zolomny Sewall in 1873 and land mortgaged by Elizabeth D. Sewall in 1881. (KCLR, 179:81-2)
___On 13 June 1917 Oscar B. Sewall of Stoughton sold land in South Thomaston, being land mortgaged by Elizabeth D. Sewall in 1881 and sold to Oscar by LaForrest S. Sewall et al in 1896 (KCLR, 178:72)
