I have been working on the same tree, but starting from Victoria (Jabaut) Sharron's ancestors. Her parents were Catherine "Kate" Bisson (which evolved to Besaw) and Olver/Levi/Levy Jabaut.
Kate Besaw was my mother's mother's father's sister. In other words, she was the sister of my great grandfather, Justin Besaw (born Augustin Bisson), or my great great aunt.
Bisson appears in many variations (Besau, Besan, Beshaw, Bessow, Besaw, etc.). Jabaut does also (Jabot, Jabbett, Chabot, etc.)
Kate and Justin's parents were Domitilde/Matilda/Mattie/Martha Martineau and Jerome Bisson, both born Quebec and removed to Plattsburgh/Schuyler Falls/Redford, NY. I've research Quebec Vital Records (the Drouin Collection) online at Ancestry.com, and have gone back a few more generations. If you register at that site, you can view my tree (just search for Jerome Bisson).
I've just been researching names on Victoria Jabaut Sharron's branch of the tree in old New York newspapers and adding that info to my tree. I then did general Internet search and came across your postings herein.
I research newer generations, not just to add to the tree, but to hopefully connect with distant cousins that may be able to share information, and, especially, anecdotes and/or photos of the older generations. I have not been able to locate an obituary of Victoria's mother Catherine/Kate Besaw Jabaut, so would like that info also.
Based on your comments, it seems as though you are already aware of the newspaper resource, but if not, you should check it out at:
