STUCKSLAGER was born in Fayette Co., Pa., February 27, 1829; received classical education at Meadville, Pa., graduating July, 1852; studied medicine in Alabama, attended lectures at University of Nashville, Tenn., and graduated from Jefferson College, Philadelphia, in March, 1856.Married MISS M. C. SHRAWN, of Perryopolis, February 19, 1857.First practiced medicine in Wyandotte, Kansas.Entered the U. S. Army as surgeon of 12th Kansas Volunteers, 1862; was taken prisoner on field of battle, 60 miles south of Little Rock, Ark.; mustered out at the close of the war at Fort Leavenworth.Located in Monongahela City, October, 1865, and (pg. 230) practiced medicine until 1872, when he moved to McKeesport and went into the banking business, in which he is at present engaged.
