Dear Jane,

It seems like you might be referring to the NW Ohio Sherricks, which I have not found how they connect with my other Sherricks. I no longer have them, but I made three 775-page Sherrick books myself from start to finish. My Sherricks started as "SCHURCH" and came from Switzerland in the early 1700s (because of religious persecution) to Lancaster County, PA and then on to Westmoreland County, PA and to Stark and Wayne Counties in Ohio. Some other spellings were "Sherick," "Shirk," "Sherk," "Scherch," "Schirch," etc. My ex-husband's mother's mother was a Sherrick, but they are so important that I have continued searching for them. My great great great grandfather was married to a Lauffer who was an ancester of a Lauffer married to a Sherrick.

What operating system do you have and what programs? Do you have a family tree computer program, such as Family Tree Maker, can you take a large gedcom file? or a large text file? I might be able to send you an email attachment.

What is your friend's name?

Hope I can help

P.S. You may not have realized what a major project you haveundertaken.
