I'm so glad to hear back from you!Quite honestly, I don't really know much of anything about the Shires or the Myers (besides finding some of the names). My grandmother spoke quite a bit about her grandmother Ella ("Grandma Tindall"... actually she always told me about how they had her body laid out in their home after she passed away) but really nothing beyond that. She died when my grandma was 10 but she remained very close with Ella's second husband, Henry Thomas ("Grandpa Hank").My grandma always claimed she didn't really have any other family besides me (which wasn't really true because I've met some of her relatives and obviously your husband would be her second cousin). I was actually pretty surprised to see that the family has such long-reaching connections to Seneca County. My grandmother lived her entire life in Seneca and Sandusky Counties (which is where the other part of her family was from). When she and my grandpa left Seneca County to move to Florida they were only living a couple of miles from the house where she was born.
Like I said, I don't really know that much about the family and would love to learn anything I can.
I appreciate your response! Kelley (Columbus, Ohio)
