That has been a mystery for many years in this branch of the family.I had the children of Joseph Shippy and Delia A. as follows:

Samantha A. (30 May 1833), William H. (1833), Henry Lyman (1834), ? Shippy (?), Franklin (1839), Stephen (1842), Elenor or Ellen (1844), Samuel (1846) and William (1849).

I also have their marriage date as 14 October 1831, Jefferson County, NY.

Samantha was my gg grandmother.She married John Dodge Thompson about 1857 in Newaygo County, MI and died 17 January 1916 at Kalkaska, MI.They had four children.

I was born in Michigan.
