I believe we are researching the same family.Jacob Shively(1796-1882) had a daughter "Hannah"(1803-1885) who married Jacob SR. Hildebrand(1796-1892).The Hildebrand family were also very devout Brethren.I have a book by O.L. Winger printed approx 1905, titled "The Brethren in Indiana".The Shively name is scattered throughout as preachers: St. Joseph County, Marshall County and also Miami County IN. Jacob, David, George, are all common names in this family.I also have locatedShively Graves in the Bourbon, Marshall County Area.
I need some help linking these names together and also their history prior to Stark County Ohio- Nimshillen Twp.- I believe.
My family lines of Hildebrand, Shidler, Shively, Clark, Trump, Stump are all centered in Nimshillen Twp. Ohio in the 1820s--70's; relocating the St. Joseph/Marshall county area between 1850-1870.Does any of this data match your Shively's?
