Vol. I, page 555 Christian ShoberArrived on ship Windsor, Master John Goad, 26 Sept. 1753 qualified in Phila.
page 531 Georg Adam Shober arrived on ship Richard & Mary from Rotterdam to Phila PA with Master John Moore. Qualified Sept 17, 1753
page 168 Jacob (O) Shober arrived on ship Samuel to Phila from Rotterdam ( prob. called John in America- Ginny K) Master Hugh Percy, qualified Aug. 30 1737
p 652 Andreas Schober arrived on ship Nephune to Phila from Rotterdam. Master Capt. Thomas Coatam. Qualified 22 Oct 1754
Jacob (X) Shober [ prob. called John here]arrived on ship Neptune from Rotterdam to Phila PA. Qualified 30 Sept 1754
These books can probably be borrowed from reference library on inter-library loan if your library does not have them on hand. Very interesting and usually the bride's family can be found in them too as they stayed with German brides usually for many years after arriving in America.
PS; Ignore the spelling differences. It was hard to understand the German dialect of these new arrivals. Same man is often spelled differently by different staff members on the ships even.
