George Shollar (Bart)
I'm glad to hear from another family member.I'm sorry I did not know that my cousin George died.My mother is his father's sister. She is the last one alive of her sibblings.I always remember your grandfather George (he was about 5-6 yrs old)coming to our house to visit. He would play with my dolls and I would play with his trucks. We also went to the same elementary school.I remember when your greatgrandmother Gladys died and 1 hour later Judy died. That was quite a shock. My Mother is 87 yrs old and lives in Newtown, Pa. in an assisted living facility.I live in Apple Valley, Mn. just 10 min. south of the Mall of America.
I have been in touch with James Shollar who is the son of Wetherall Shollar your great grandfather brother. I have a lot of information on our family going back to very early 1800's.James has been good enough to check out information in the Philadelphia area for me and has filled in some blanks. If you are interested in your ancestry for your family, I would be glad to fill you in or send it to you.You may email me your preference. You must be very young, as your grandfather George was my age.
I've put this Shollar forum on Ancestry many years ago.I know there are alot more Shollar's because the family was very large.I have many cousins stil alive.I would enjoy hearing from them as well.I would love to have some picture of family members even really old one of great or great-great grandparents if any still exit.
Hope you have a great day!
