My 4th great grand uncle was a private in the Civil War from Dauphin County, PA. He was born 1841 and died 1895 in Dauphin, PA. I would appreciate any family documents, such as letters written by him, during service, copies of pictures,(of Sam), if he wrote a diary. In August 1862, when he enlisted, he saw three major battles.- (9 months regiment) Antietam, MD, Fredericksburg, VA and Chancellorsville, VA. He also might've enlisted with his brother in the 200th, PA. 1864, however the age of enlistment is off by about a year.
I understand that this is an strange and/or tall order. However of all my uncles, he has the most interesting service of all.
