6-41 Henry A. Shorey, son of James Shorey (5-21) and Eunice Fall. I beleive to be your grandfather. The line ends with Henry in the Shorey book, however a search on "McKechnie" brought up "The Centennial History of Waterville", in which on pg 120, it states, "A daughter of Alexander McKechnie married Mr. Henry A. Shorey". It also states that Alexander is also the father of Erastus W. McKechnie". So we have a brother listed too! Alexander Mckechnie was one of thirteen children of John McKechnie, a scotchman, educated as a physician and civil engineer. He came to this country in 1755, and was employed by the Plymouth Company as a surveyor. John married Mary NORTH of Pemaquid, Jan 1, 1760. He sailed on the Crawford Bridge, Captain Cury, commander, bound for Boston, New England, there being 17 passengers, and landed all in perfect health Sept 12, 1755 at 7:00 at Long Warf, Boston.
