The SIAS FAMILY REUNION will be held AUGUST 10, 2002 at 721 Central Avenue, Barboursville, WVa at the Community Building. We will start gathering at 8AM and may stay to midnight. We have heard from other family members who did not know about our reunion in 2000 and expect to join us.Start planning now to attend. If you would like more time than just the one day which is Saturday, let me know now so we may also reserve the building for Friday, August 9th. The cost is $100.00 per day plus $50.00 deposit.
As in the past we ask that you bring your family pictures, artifacts and stories of our ancestors. We will have a place to display the memories of our families.Again, we ask that you bring sufficient food and soft drinks for your immediate family. We will have use of a nice kitchen with refrigerator and some will be bringing their coolers.
This place is air conditioned, if it rains we will be in the dry.All the facilities are on the ground floor with easy access to restrooms. If you are an elderly person or will have someone with you that requires special seating, I would suggest you bring a nice lawn chair or an equal for their comfort.Chairs and tables are provided.
Please call your familiy members, cousins, etc, invite them to come for a day of relaxation and fun, we will advertise the event in several local newspapers but it always helps when we make that extra effort to let our kinfolks know about our family gathering. Some do not have access to a computer.Drop them a line or make that call now so they can plan to be with us.
We were pleasantly surprised with the outpouring of our many cousins who gathered with us 2 years ago and we are hoping for even more this year. Come and hear the stories, see the artifacts and meet some of your kin that you have never met and also those you already know. However many there are, we expect to have a wonderful time.
Barboursville is a small place where the Police Department, Fire Station and the Post Office are all within walking distance.BRING YOUR CAMERA AND LET'S MAKE MORE MEMORIES FOR THE FUTURE.If you have a question, please feel free to email me.
We credit this space here on the Sias Message Board in part, for the good number we had in our last reunion.Pass the word along and I'm looking forward to meeting you.
