I have recently purchased the first volume of AB's book and am scanning it into images to put on a cd.I also would like to include an everyname index linked to the images with birth year and location and spouse names to make it easy for people to find family members as the original index is broken into sections and does not always distinguish between individuals with the same name.ie. 3 different Jeremiah Siases will be listed as one with many page numbers.I would like to post this index online in the near future with navigable family pages so updated material could be added. For example the old family photos or letters that some of us have. But this is a dilemma for me as I make it a policy not to put online any information on living individuals and I am certain some of the people in this book are still living. Also, to make this index will take weeks if not months and I would like to know people's thoughts on the whole idea.
I envision the book index as the backbone of a website that continues the work that Azariah Boody Sias started--compiling Sias family information (with sources!!)so that it is available for all members. Census information could be contributed as it is found as well as public records, old photos, postcards and letters.
The first step is the book on cd with index.Thoughts?
