Sias Family in America by A.B. Sias-index

Did you know if you made a cd of the Sias Family book, made an everyname index for it, and linked every page number in the index to the page images you would need to create over 8,000 links? What do you think about an html format for such a cd? Would most of you be able to read it?
The only problem I see would be if someone unscrupulous got hold of a copy and published it to the web.I am sure some individuals listed in the book are still living.Any ideas on how to safeguard against this?
