Vila Crady Sidebottom, 85, of Boston, Kentucky, a resident of the Nelsonville community, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. A homemaker, she was a member of Nelsonville Church of Christ and was a devoted Sunday School teacher for many years. She was born May 30, 1918, in Boston, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Marvin Spriggs Sidebottom Sr; a son, Marvin Spriggs Sidebottom Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Faye Sidebottom; her parents, Clarence Crady and Sally Vittitow Crady; four brothers, Ray Crady, Edward Crady, Leslie Crady and Roy Crady; and four sisters, Minnie Khulmann, Mae Stotz, Lena Parrish and Louise Florence. Survivors include three sons, Lee Roy Sidebottom and Michael "Bear" Sidebottom, both of Boston, and Bobby Sidebottom of Phoenix; two daughters, Linda Dean of Louisville and Betty Morley of Bardstown; a sister, Gladys Florence of Boston; 16 grandchildrens; 20 great-grandchildrens; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. The funera; os 2 p.m. Sunday at Nelsonville Church of Christ with the Rev. Robert Heid, pastor of Nelsonville Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Nelsonville Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and continues from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and at 8 a.m. Sunday at William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.
