I'm looking for male Sides descendants of Nelson Sides b c 1805 in Montgomery CoNC to test for the Sides DNA Test at htp://www.sideslines.org -have quite a few Sides from Stanly County who have tested from other families, need a comparison for this family. To that end, the known sons of Nelson were: Daniel Alexander Sides b June 5, 1829 m Nancy Rowland-I don't know of any children. Ransom Sides b 1830 m Catherine Culp. Had son Thomas Sides b 1846 unknown what happened to him. Joseph Monroe Sides b Feb 23 1832 m Margaret Barringer. Two known sons James N Sides b 1873, William B Sides b 1872. James N Sides m Ethel S ? had son Grady b 1903. Unknown what happened to William B Sides b 1872. Henry William Sides b Dec 20 1835 m A ME Lyerly. Two konwn sons: Marshall Haywood Sides b Jan 1875 NC and William Alexander Sides b c 1873. Marshall Haywood had sons: John Adam b May 1895, Wilbur Travis b July 27, 1900, Henry D b c 1909, Arthur H b c 1912 and Parl b c 1917. I know that John Adam had sons Bobby Lewis, Charles M b c 1917, James Delmar b c 1919, Earnest Lee b c 1921, Roy E b c 1924, Odell b c 1925, Raymond T b c 1927. Wilbur Travis had a son Dewey R b c 1925. The Sides I have met myself from this area were from around Albemarle and Mt Pleasant. I am a descendant of Green Harrison Sides, another of Nelson Sides sons, through William Juan then David Willie Sides.
