I have found the following information on the Sigman coat of arms. I am skeptical of its accuracy since the source is somewhat doubtful. A family member ordered (via a magazine add) a Family Heritage book. The information in the book of "Sigman Family Name" is useless but the crest information could be something to look into. Here goes.
start quote From: The Burke's Peerage World Book of Sigman Page 2.11 The Sigman Coat of Arms (illustrated in the book) is officially documented in "Rietstap's Armorial General". The translated description of the arms (shield) is as follows: "Divided horizontally: 1)Gold, and arm in a red sleeve, placed vertically, holding three red roses with green stems and leaves. 2) Blue, a silver ship with silver sails, sailing on a silver sea, in front of naturally colored rocks which are issuing from the left side" Above the shield and helmet is the crest which is described as: "Three ostrich feathers, one silver between two Blue." end quote
If any have access to the "Rietstap's Armorial General" to confirm the accuracy of he description I would love to hear from you. Dan Sigman, Ottawa, Canada.
