I'm looking for info on the SIGMAN family from TEXAS and OK. I have many blanks to fill!
Starting with a group of siblings,late 1850's:
ALONZA (Lon)SIGMAN (b. & d. unknown)this could be George & William's father or brother, not sure which.
GEORGE SIGMAN-b. abt. 1857, MO, d. 1930,Norman OK
WILLIAM DAVIS SIGMAN-b.1858 MO, d.Dec. 1920,Lindsay,OK.
SARA SIGMAN (HOWERY)-b.about 1860,d.abt.1912, OK
ELLA SIGMAN (CAGLE)-b.abt 1862, d. ?
MARTHA SIGMAN ???
GEORGE SIGMANmarried ELLEN STARK in Kansas, they had a dau., GRACE SIGMAN. Ellen died when Grace was young,in Kansas. Georgeand Grace moved to Norman,OK.Grace married TOM HICKS, had 2 boys- HENRY LEROY HICKS,b. 1900,& GEORGE EDWIN HICKS,b.1902. Grace and Tom divorced, she couldn't raise boys alone, gave George Hicks to her father , George Sigman, to raise. She later remarried a man named HUBBARD.Grace died in 1930 in FT. Cobb, OK.
WILLIAM DAVIS SIGMAN was married twice. No info on first wife. He married a second time to SARAH ANN(THOMAS)SHIRLEY in Fannin Co., TX, June,1879. She was also married before. She had two dau. from previous marr.- ADA SHIRLEY(MORGAN)b.1877,TX,and MOLLIE SHIRLEY(CRUMPLOR or CRUMLEY)b.1878, TX. William hadchildren from 1st marr. also-
ISAAC (Jerry) NEWTON SIGMAN, b.1880.
m.SALLY ANN PHILLIPS in 1901,TX.

at abt.2 yrs. old.

ALONZA(LON)SIGMAN was married twice. No info on 1st wife. He married an Indian woman, possibly Cherokee. They had 2 boys- BUSTER and CLAUDIS. They had a butcher shop and/or store near a hotel(?) in PURCELL,OK.
Alonza's wife left, taking the older child, Buster, and leaving Claudis with ALONZA. That is all the info I have on Alonza.
If anyone out there has ANYinfo on this family, I would be very grateful for the help!
I have a marr. cert. and death cert. for WILLIAM SIGMAN, my gggranfather. Most of this info comes from George Hicks by way of a letter I have that he wrote to his cousinin 1992 when he was in his 90's. He has since passed firstname.lastname@example.org
