Simar Family in Minnesota .
Burton John Simar, son of John Simar, moved to Minnesota in 1910 or 1911, living and farming in Jackson County, in 1912 or 1913 he moved to Douglas County, and again took up farming, after about 3 years on this farm, known as the Belle River farm, he and his young family relocated to Todd County, records show that he lived on several farms before they settled on a farm about 5 miles south of Eagle Bend, in Burleene Township, where they lived for close to 20 years, and raised a large family (12 children).
In 1938 Burton John died, and the family, (7 boys and 4 girls) (one boy died at a young age) all went there separate ways, several buying their own farm in the immediate area.
Today the descendants of this family are scattered across this country, and even as far away as France.
