Thank you Peg. I used your information to look up more Simontons and I got as far back as Adam Simonton of Ohio. Some of your information was off but it could have been from transcriptual mistakes. Mostly it was dealing with birth and death dates. I think it could have been due to the poor record taking and such as this. But everything adds up. Adam Simonton was the father of Theophilus Simonton who was the father of Theophilus Simonton Jr. who was the father of Hiram Powers Simonton who was the father of William T. (Theophilus) Simonton and the unknown son in the 1920 census is my great-grandfather Louis Simonton. And Louis J. Simonton is my great-uncle. There are some other differential issues such as names but they could have changed their names at some point. Thank you for your advice. But could I ask you one thing? Who are you?
