You are quite welcome! It would be interesting to find the early Sinyards and try to find the connection between both Sinyard families. Some of the information I got from my aunts, but most of it came from Shirley Sinyard Clarke. She and I are cousins because we share the same Grandfather Richard Sinyard but through different sons of Richard. It is interesting about the last name of your second cousin, I know that there are some Greens in Winterton or (Scilly Cove).I know of Green here in Yukon.I will talk with him.I may have some relations there as well.
I can understand how you feel about missing an opportunity to record information.I wish I had started many years earlierin obtaining information with my Great Grand mother Annie (Sinyard) Sooley.
That is an interesting story about a house with 13 fireplaces!! That would be a very big house.I could check with the local Heart's Content historical society at the Heart's Content Cable station.I know that before 1866.Most homes were not that big, would not certainly have that many fireplaces.I am thinking after the cable was laid that the business and prosperity of Heart's Content began to improve quite considerably. It may be possible to find a photo of the house. It cetainly would have stood out in that community.
I am assuming from your comment about your grandmother's brothers being killed by French pirates.I am guessing your father was probably talking about his Grandmother or Great Grandmother. But you are quite right, it is a mystery! That is the fun and interesting part of doing genealogy!!It like being a detective!! smile.
