In looking over more records, I can possibly add further information for you. I have a list for the Hallett Family.I cannot swear as to the accuracy of all the dates, but feel certain that the marriages and children listed are probably quite reliable.
Louetta Skimmerhorn married George Everett Hallett (1870-1902).They appear to have had four children.
Also, I was told by one of your cousins in Rockville that Lucy Falls Griffin Skimmerhorn's first husband's name was Solomon Griffin.I have no verification for that, BUT Lucy's name on the marriage certificate for her marriage to Aaron Skimmerhorn reads "Lucy A. Griffin." Apparently GRIFFIN is correct, at any rate. I've seen this record myself.
Lucy and Aaron were married August 9, 1866, in Parke County, Indiana.
Lucy died by horrible accident when her clothing caught fire as she was burning off "a potato patch."One of her little daughters was a traumatized witness--I'll try to find out which child it was.
