Katherine, The parents of Sir John Skipwith of South Ormsby, Lincolnshire, were Sir William Skipwith and his 2nd wife, Agnes, widow of Sir John (some say Thomas) St. Quentin, but by birth the daughter of Sir John Constable of Halsham and Burton Constable, Yorkshire. Sir John's wife, Catherine, was the daughter ofSir Richard Fitzwilliam, of Aldwark, Yorkshire, and (I believe)his wife Elizabeth Clavell. Sir John Skipwith was High Sheriff of Lincoln in 1493. He was created a Knight-banneret by Henry VII for service against the Cornish rebels at the Battle of Blackheath on 17 July 1497. Hope this may be of use.
