Hi - can't help you too much on your folks. My ex-husbands grandparents (Walter and Antonia Skowronski) emigrated to the US about 1905/1907.They are shown on both the 1910 and 1920 Census (with the name misspelled - no surprise!).The 1910 census shows:
Walter Scrownski 30, married, Poland, coal miner Antonia, 32, married, Poland Phelix (really Felix) 10, single, Poland Victorio (really Victor), 4, single, Poland William, 2, single, Ohio Geg, 23, single, Poland (Walter's brother)
The 1920 census shows (again with misspelled name): Walter Serveronski, 41 Annie, 42 Victor, 14, Poland Joseph, 7, Ohio Walter, 3 1/2, Ohio Felix, 20, Poland William, 12, Ohio
We've never really known where in Poland they were from but maybe you've seen and heard the names Walter or Geg.Perhaps we can make a connection.
