Claudia,
I keep getting failure notices from my two e-mails to you using your suggested e-mail address; [email protected]. Sorry!
I have proven my line of Jacob Slagle.b. 1740s, parentage unknown and died 1800 in VA. This Jacob , my 2nd gr. grandfather( the generations are long-40 years.) and the subject of my book, but he is not a DAR patriot for some reason--possibly his religion.
If you have proven that John Jacob Slagle b. 1751 in PA, died 1816 in PA (records are in PA) is your ancestor--your patriot DAR is his father Jacob Slagle b. 1723 in PA, Others have become members of DAR on his lines. This I know.
Think someone related to these York Co. Slagles might answer and help you if you gave more clues for readers of the SLAGLE forum. I have had wonderful cooperation from many Slagle researchers. However, we all need names, dates, places and your specific questions. The Historical Society in York County is great for these Slagles and other Slagles--lots of material if you could go.
.
You may contact me at:bkartalia@yahoo. com and perhaps give meanother address,Good Luck, Rebecca
