I'm a genealogy hobbyist, which my local junk/treasure store owner knows. When she gets in something of genalogicial/historical interest, she calls me to come see it. I then try to find it a good home. She now has a scrapbook type photo album that belonged to a Mr. Rollin Slayton, more recently of Oregon City, Oregon. They are photos of him and his friends and family circa 1920-1935, when he was a student at a Christian College in California and when he was in the Portland area. Also some documents from his graduation etc. I suspect the storeowners "picker" picked them up at an estate sale here in the Portland, OR area. While they may not be of great interest today, they could be in 20 years or so. I have no monetary interest, happy to put you in touch with the storeowner, as she is not online. Her prices are nominal and negotiable. I've done this before, and have been able to get items like these back to those who they belong with, like a family member or a look-up person for the area. It's just fun for me. You can search my name on the net and see that I am a presence for genealogy. Any reply is truly appreciated.
