Sluder, Felix Resided in Ashe County and was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting at Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the age of 39, on November 17, 1863. Mustered in as a private in Company L, 58th North Carolina Troops. Captured at Missionary Ridge, Tennessee, November 25, 1863. Sent to Nashville, Tennessee. Transferred to Louisville, Kentucky, where he arrived on December 7, 1863. Transferred to Rock Island, Illinois, where he arrived on December 9, 1863. Released at Rock Island, Illinois, on or about January 25, 1864, after joining the United States Navy.
