Thanks for the info. I will save this info and give it to David later. My buddy Smoke is a black guy. He said his great granddad, the one from Selma (Dallas Co) supposedly had some Creek in him, but it was his great grandmother he found out that was Creek Indian. He said he heard she was short, very dark but very sort of delicate and beautiful with fine features and black hair down to her waist or longer. David Smoke is like her, smaller built, dark, but with finer features.
Why people seem to wait until all the old ones are dead and gone, along with their knowledge, to get interested in family history is beyond me. But I can't say much. I obtained some from my people, but again, it was only after they were passed on that I became really interested. I suppose when in our youth we just don't worry about such things until we are older.
