James Smoot

I am looking for the parents of James Smoot. James was born in 1822 in Muskingham, Ohio. He married Margaret Luce. James and Margaret had four children [Mary Jane (Smoot) Cassel, Jonathan Smoot, Harmon Frances Smoot, and John Wesley Smoot]. James died January 11, 1874.
I am also looking for information about three of James' children: Mary, Jonathan, and John. I am the great granddaughter of Harmon Frances Smoot, James' third child. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
