Daniel, can you tell me the parents and grandparents of this John Sneed, wife Rebecca?I don't think this is my line, but I'm very curious because while I was surfing for my own family line, I ran across the following:
In Halifax County Deaths for 1854, Rebecca is listed as having died June 4, 1854 at age 93 and reported by her grandson, Charles D. Pettus.He reported her husband was John Snead.
In 1850 Census, she is living with her grandson, Charles D. Pettus, age 42 a farmer along with his wife, Elizabeth Pettus, age 64 and great granddaughter, Elizabeth age 13 in the Northern District of Halifax county.
