I have only recently learned the name of my ggggrandmother, Louise Benton (b. abt 1910 in North Carolina, Tennessee, or Arkansas, d. ?), who married an unknown Handby, Hanby, or Hamby.Their daughter, Martha Anne Handby (b. 1 Aug 1840 in Bentonville, Ark; d. 28 Sep 1901 in Missouri) married Jess Crain (b.? in New York State, d. abt 1860-1861).
Their children were:

Louise Benton is supposed to have had a brother for whom the town of Bentonville, Arkansas was named.
