NH Bible, VR, census
While trying, and failing, to place my Abigail A. SOMES b. 15 February 1790 at Meredith, NH [family records] into a NH SOMES family I’ve found the below... I still can’t use any of it but thought someone else might be able to. My Abigail, btw, m. Joseph Spiller 21 March 1815 at Alna, Lincoln Co., ME [IGI names her Abigail James but I’ve seen the record and it clearly says SOMES]. Joseph was b. 9 July 1787 at Meredith, NH [IGI says “ABT 1787Of Chelsea', Orange, 'Vermont” s/o Samuel & Molly (/) Spiller [family records/DAR]... IGI also names Molly as HUNT... 1st cousin to her husband... I suspect this may be so but have no proof.
Here’s hoping someone can use the below!
Enjoy!

“The New Hampshire 1790 Census only lists the name of the Head of Household and the number of individuals in the household. The following were the only
entries in the 1790 New Hampshire Census for the Somes surname:
John Somes (in Strafford County) listed with one female (I'm assuming it would be his wife)
and Timothy Somes (also in Strafford County) listed with 1 other male over 16, 1 male under 16 and 4 females.
