John Cyrus Miller (b1811 Cabarrus, d1893 Rowan, m1st Sophia Propst; my ancestors) said in the 1850 Rowan census, that Henry was born "Germany". I believe his brother, Alexander Monroe "Sandy" Miller, Cabarrus/Rowan/Illinois, said in 1850 Illinois census, "Prussia". Frederick Haro Miller removed to the Texas Republic; what he said in the 1850 census would help? The fate of brother Samuel D. Miller is unknown? James A. Miller Jr., Southport, N.C. email@example.com P.S. One problem: I believe the borders of "Prussia" were in flux then; does he mean when Henry left Prussia, or 1850's Prussia? There may be no conflict in statements; as Cyrus may have said "Germany" as inclusive of Prussia. I understand today's lower Denmark was once in Prussia?
