1 year.Mined at Coster Gulch on Eagle Creek during the winter of 64/65.Started for Humbolt CO. CA on 1 sept 1865.He shipped his wife Louvisa and son George from
Crescent City on the steamer "Del Norte".

He settled in Arcata CA (near Eureka CA).
Died there on 6 Dec 1919, and is buried in
Myrtle Cemetary, in Eureka.

Jacob and Louvisa (Lovisa) had 12 children
