Notes on James Sr: This Generation shown by another researcher on IGI asJohn Spann and Sarah Smith
On Thweatt-Can you tell me how you know there is no Thweatt connection? I have quite a bit on them.
Dr. ohn Peterson is my proven ancestor-through another of his children- so I have a good bit of Thweatt- tie in material there. His wife is still a puzzle= reputed to be a Batt- but for sure married a Brown first- as John left her two sons by that marriage.
Benjamin- is called Spann in some records-but the name is interchangeable-in most places I have researched.Benjamin as son of James-is only DAR material- so that whole line is NOT proven as I would like it to be.
(MY ancestor Baralby Rolly Spain married before the census named children of Benjamin-and about my only proof is a picture I found in my research-labeled on the back-and belonging to her- brother John Spain.Benjamin had a John.
