It was Georg Jacob Spindler who was born in Minfeld, Germany in February of 1728. He married Maria Elisabetha Bossler in Minfeld on 10 Nov 1750. They later had four sons: George Frederick, Jacob, Jr., Nicholas and John, and two daughters: Catherine and Mary. All the children were born in Baltimore, Maryland.
Two of the sons, Jacob, Jr. and Nicholas Spindler, went to East Bethlehem, Pa. in 1809. The others stayed in Maryland, except for Mary Spindler Gore who went to Pennsylvania sometime after her marriage.
Jacob, Jr. had a son named Jacob, as did his younger brother, Nicholas. This accounts for the four Spindler men named Jacob.
