Sproat/Whipple/Sibley

I'm sure all the seasoned Sproat researchers are aware of the book, THE PIONEER WOMEN OF THE WEST, by Elizabeth Fries Ellet, pub. 1873 (and I do mean 1873).For others, I would call your attention to a chapter on Sarah Whipple Sproat Sibley, (b. 28th Jan 1782, Providence, RI), purported to be the only daughter of Ebenezer Sproat and granddaughter of Abraham Whipple. It contains an interesting account of some events in her life and her marriage to Solomon Sibley of MA.This book is in many libraries and I believe several copies are offered for sale on sites dealing in used books.

I am not researching Whipple, Sproat or Sibley, though my gr gr grandmother married, secondly, the Rev. Wm. Lansford Sibley, in Washington Parish?, LA about 1838.He is not my ancestor.
