Unfortunately, this area of my research is very vague. I discovered mention of teh SPurgeon name in my grandfather's records, and contrary to the information I had, it appears that the "Unknown Cooke" is actually female and married a "Mr" Spurgeon.
Samuel Cooke d.1815, Norfolk He married Ann
Their children were: Samuel d. Abt. 1870 (son - John d. Abt. 1900) Sarah "Unknown Female" m. Mr SPURGEON
I know that thisis very thin, but just to add to the woes, I am not clear as to whether he family were "COOKE" or "COOK" at this stage.
My guess is that "Unknown Female" married Mr SPURGEON in the mid 1800s.
