Joyce Glover, a researcher of the Spurgeon family, especially her line in West Virginia, for over 30 years, passed away at her home last week, apparently of a heart attack, according to her niece. Joyce helped me with the Spurgeon Quarterly for many years. Her obituary from The Southern Illinoisan: "ANNA - Joyce H. Glover, 71, of South Lyon, Mich., formerly of Anna, died Sept. 27, 2011, at her residence. She was born Dec. 1, 1939, the daughter of Charles N. and Ethel (Parr) Glover in Blue Island. She was a member of Riviera United Methodist Church in Redondo Beach, Calif., and also attended Anna United Methodist. She enjoyed a long career with Aerospace Corp. in El Segundo, Calif., and was avidly involved in Genealogy research after her retirement. She is survived by her niece, Julie Dean (Robbie) Wingett of Royal Oak, Mich.,; one nephew, Edward B. (Kim) Smith of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; and great-nieces and nephews, Edward, Jessica, Jonathan and Hannah Smith. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in Anna City Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Minor officiating.
